Whirling Words

Why are words whirling

Around in my head?

Whistling, wondering, whining.

A good word, a soft word, a sweet word.

Word’s out. No word. Harsh word.

Where o where have my little words gone?

Out of mind, out of sight,

Out there. Somewhere.

Words become sentences.

A sentence is a time in a jail.

Jail is a loss of freedom.

Speechless is

a loss of words.

Thoughts are captured by words.

But still free.

Freedom of speech is

words uncensored.

Words wobble.

Words wiggle.

Words wander pages

In search of thoughts.

Collected words live on

In publications.

Not a word, Word’s out. Mum’s the word.

What about a word mummy?
